TTI/Eddy Sealing Problems?
The top gasket is a FelPro and the bottom is the TTI which I didn't bother even trying. You can see how thin the header contacted the gasket in the lower outside corners. The FelPro gaskets matched the exhaust ports in the heads perfectly. The TTI gaskets matched the TTI header flange bead perfectly. Because the header hangs into the port and the bead was thin on mine I had to thicken it up so that enough metal would crush the gasket. The two inside exhaust ports matched the ports on the heads perfectly.
My guess is the Magnum heads have smaller ports so that is why TTI makes the headers the way they do. If they would just thicken up the bead mine would have never leaked. Matter of fact when I called TTI that is what they told me to do. And I wasn't on the phone with them long; I don't think it was the first call they had with this issue.
