TTI/Eddy Sealing Problems?

Sorry I mistook him for someone else that had posted about gasket matched Eddy heads.

I didn't realize that the Doug's headers were not a stepped header. I don't think 1-5/8 is optimal for my combination. However, that would make for more clearance around the torsion bars, front end components, etc. I also like the way the middle ports on the driver's side don't have the crazy bend like the TTIs.

Hmm. Decisions decisions.

I thought you already had a set of tti headers.

the step is a pretty overrated deal on most engines. If optimizing power is your goal... tti and Dougs ARE NOT the answer.

The power diff between the step tti and straight tube Dougs is fairly insignificant.

The sealing of the port using the bead is a good idea for getting additional gasket crush, however, it's got to be aligned with the head sealing surface. Going flat plate style is ok, but, they tend to warp easier and any imperfection is magnified,
