Anyone knowing if the bracket for the gas wire was painted on 273x4bbl engine? Did they paint the engine with or without the valve covers on these engines? Like they did on the hemis.

The finned valve covers were painted black,
they were installed after the engine was painted red.

The throttle bracket was red.The throttle cable often times had some red overspray on it.

An engine in the car, would have some overspray also on the exhaust
manifold shield gaskets, especially the drivers side.

The paint would of course have been applied differently at times,
because Humans; not robots, did the painting.
