Emily's '72 Scamp

I stayed up till 3 am putting her all together (I had to leave early for a trip anyway) and she is almost done. OK, there are some issues to address like a leaking transmission (wish I had known it was a leaker when we had the engine out) and it needs a front end alignment as we replaced everything on the front end (including the K member to get a spool mount). It actually drives strait down the road, so I guess my estimate of the proper placement of all the parts was at least close.

We sure like the way the *** end sticks up now with the replacement springs. A whole lot better than the saggy bottom boys it was looking like before.

The rear seats look pretty good considering they started life as off white. I used spray on fabric/plastic dye (the expensive stuff) and it worked well. Shouldn't be much issue with wear as they are back seats after all, and hopefully my daughter won't be giving them too much of a workout.

We replaced the two piece lap/shoulder belt with a nifty one from XV Motorsports. They are the only suppliers I found with a proper drop for the shoulder harness.

We have almost all trim on, except the front and rear window surrounds as the clips are pretty wasted. I understand the only way to replace the clips is when you have the glass out. I think we will try some heavy duty adhesive of some sort.

I'll have to get to the door panels when I get back (or maybe Ross will have them done?)
