1966 Valiant Signet Convertible Resto
Hey guys I've been on a hiatus for a while and it has been good. It feels good to finally get some work done on the convertible.
I'm pretty much finished with the filler and glazing of the doors. Next up some guide coat to make sure I got everything flat and straight. Soon, I hope to be laying down some more epoxy to seal all my filler work. Then 3 coats of 2K primer and some guide coat, then block sanding , more block sanding, and more block sanding to perfection.
Here's how it looks so far. I really love the Evercoat Metal Glaze. It took a little while to get the hang of it but it lays out really nice and fills in all the tiny pinholes from the Evercoat Rage filler nicely.
Epoxied door after the media blasting.
I love these Durablocks too with the sticky back sandpaper
One door down
Will have to decide if I want the mirror shaved or not.
Got to work on one of the fenders today too. There was a pretty good little dent here and I was able to tap most of it out. Should look good after I sand down the glaze
This is the metal glaze stuff. I really like it and it feathers really nice
Well that is my progress so far. I hope to have both fenders done this weekend and then I can start on the decklid and then the hood.
