1966 Valiant Signet Convertible Resto

Good to see you are getting some work done.

What spray gun is that? I ended up with the EVO4014, nice gun, has a small spray pattern, but worked well. I wished I had a bigger pattern and a nicer gun for the clear. Next time, I will invest in a $600 gun for clear. BTW, the Matrix MS42 clear is awesome, if you can spray it right, you would never need to buff it. Slick as snot!

Its amazing how much filler you use, I used two 1gl cans, and 3 quarts of glaze. Most of it was left on the garage floor, and about a 1/3 of it ended up inside me too. Here is a tip for your long durablock, dont ever store it with sandpaper attached, and leave it on a perfectly flat surface if you leave it overnight. Mine warped from the sandpaper.

Dont rush anything, it took me two years, but the body is so perfectly straight, it looks awesome. I'm glad I did not rush anything, and I had to re-do a few panels to get it right. It was worth the wait now. Now I just need to do some color sanding and buffing.

FYI, I got the Eastwood liquid ice kit they sold. I wished I would have found an extra panel to paint, so I could practice buffing on it.

Well anyway, thats enough verbal diharea (?sic) from me, glad to see you are making progress, and when I say "I know what you are going through", I really mean it.
