RPM AIR-GAP carb spacer?

Hey AdamR I talked to you a while back about a carb spacer for a rpm air gap on a small block mopar. We'll I went out and purchased a HVH street sweeper for a Performer RPM intake(thats what HVH recomended because of center devider) so I put it on and noticed the front of the spacer holes over lap the intake about 1/16 in. that's right were the spacer bells out at the bottom! Just wondering if you think that will affect the performance of the spacer, and do you think maybe I should take a die grinder and open up intake at that point? Just looking for a little help and advice! Thanks Twister74
