Heres some pictures of the work I've don so far.

Heres what I started with, Not to bad. Minor rust in the aprons and top of the fenders and some holes to weld shut in the fire wall. I'll have to have that work done. I dont have a welder.

I pulled the header panel, bumper and lower valance panel to clean up the over spray from the last 2 paint job and black out the front rad, support.

Radiator support masked off and engine bay in primer.

Now I can smooth out the parts of the engine bay that dont need welding.

Thanks guys.

Ive been working on it in the morning before work. I go in at noon.

No pictures from today but I got the driverside door lock and handle off and all the trim around the driverside windows. Also spread alittle spot putty in a few spot in the engine bay. The car should be totally stripped by Monday.

Yes. Its the car in my signature. It has cancer of the rockers, quarters and trunk lid bad. Floors and frame rails are in great shape.

The car was repainted in the early 90s in base/clear. It was a re-sell paint job. Nice shiney red paint over plastic filler/seam sealer. The paint has held up great in the time I've owned it its just the body work under it that hasnt.

Under side of the trunk lid.

Out side of the trunk lid. It actually rotted from the inside out.

I also suspect to find rust under the front and rear windows in the channel.

I still need to buy bolth 1/4s, rockers and a trunk lid. Then I can send it out. I also want to add a glass hood and front bumper but they wonnt be body color so I can always get them later.

Nice work Adam. Do you have the parts you need to fix the rusted out areas?

Not yet. I'm hoping to get them in time to have the body done by spring.

If you were closer I could help with some original parts but shipping to Connecticut would be expensive.

Im sure it would be. I can get the rockers and quarter from Auto Body Specialties. They are only about 45 minutes from me. The trunk lid Im going to have to find a good used one or get a glass one.

Its amazing how far apart this thing is. Heres a few new pictures.

Yesterday I removed the fuel cell (I think I need a smaller one, my 16 gallon is a tight fit.), the Dash, wiper linkage, trunk divider, rear floor (unbolts behind the back seat) and the reamining wiring. Still have to strip the passanger side door lock and handle off and then its all a part.

I only managed to break 3 parts. 1 drip rail moldong and 2 door felt strips that need replacing anyways.

Friday night the guys from work came over to check it out. One of them worked at body a body shop and does pretty nice work and my boss want to wet sand it and buff it out. They cant wait to get to work.

Everythings going to be done right in my garage. Quarter panels, rockers a little patch work and mini tub it. Cant wait.
