I have started a registry for '73-76 Dusters and Dart Sports. Please send me your info to cole_383@hotmail.com.

I'm currently working on a temporary website for the registry.

-Name
-City & State/Province
-Country
-Email address
-Full vin number
-Fender tag codes (left to right)
-Status of the car (restored, project, parts car, dead)
-A picture of the car/interior/engine/fender tag & broadcast sheet if you have one

Thanks,
Cody

Cool site ! I am not sure if I will end up with a 73 or other year, but this helps me a lot!

Would like to get an opinion from you 73 guys if possible....

I am considering a 73 Dart Sport described like this:

360/380 Mopar Performance crate engine. M1 intake. Demon 750 carb. double pump. Mopar Performance Ignition, Orange box, MSD adjustable timing control. Howe aluminum rad, TTI 1 5/8 coated headers, 2 1/2 exhaust with flowmasters. 904 trans with 2.74 low gearset. 5 clutch drums, TCI trans scat shift kit. Freshly built with 3 year warranty. stock torque converter. mini starter. 8 3/4 limited slip with 3.23 gears. large bolt pattern. 15x7 front 15x8 rear Wheel Vintique rallye wheels. South Side Machine traction bars. Rebuilt front suspension, reman front calipers, new brakes, brake hoses. Black interior, bucket seats, floor console, shift light. Needs some work but is very driveable. Car is complete and original with no modifications. Excellent bracket car. Super consistant. Comes with Mickey Thompson E.T. street slicks mounted on steel wheels. Has won numerous Div. 1 races. Guaranteed to impress with sleeper looks. Consistant 12.70's @ 109 mph. Needs: tires, minor rust in 1/4's, paint, TLC

$5,000. Now, does this sound like a good deal or should I keep looking? its a drive for me to see it, so wanted some opinions first, if its even still for sale..I emailed the seller...It sounds good to me, I guess, if the body andframe and floors etc are solid....

What is involved with removing the big black bumpers from the bumpers? That is the only thing I dont like about that year....

It's hard to say, I don't know values on them too much because I got my '73 Duster for a really good deal. $5,000 for the car described sounds decent.

Regarding the black bumper guards, when I take mine off...I'll let you know!

Sonds like a good deal! Here,s mine it,s a 73 Dart Sport 340,4 speed. No bumperettes on front.I have well over $10,000 in this car,so $5000 with everything you say?You couldn,t build for that and run in the 12,s.My 2 cents.

not that i'm affected, but i also wondered why so specific? 73 only? why not cover 73-76 as these cars are all kin to each other. they all share the beginnings of emmissions, 5 mph bumpers, 340's & 360's available till 76in each, ect.... these cars are highly overlooked in my opinion.

I'd do a '73-'76 registry but being 16, I don't honestly have the time to keep track of all those cars. I own a '73 so I figured '73 would be best for me. I'm sure somebody else will get around to doing a '74-'76 one though.

I also believe the 73 Dart Sport 340 is an overlooked car.It would still be called a Demon if it wasn,t for the church people complaining.I would love to get a fiberglass hood with the scoop molded into it like the 73 Dusters.I just don,t like the headder panel. My 2 cents!

I'm back!!

Fender tags reads:

"V8W 26 EN1
N41 N42 N76 R11 V21 V6W

As far as I can tell car came with a sport hood (twin scoop) , blacked out , B5 blue with white stripes, black interior, column shift automatic with a bench seat, PS, PB, AM radio.

I bought it in 1996 from an AMX guy in Manasas, VA for $1000. Car had a non-original powertrain (X head , steel crank 340, 904 trans, 3.23 open 8.75 sbp rear. Basically very little body rust , but car had many small dents and dings (even dent in the floor, so I figure the hillbillys who owned before thought they were the Dukes of Hazard!) and was painted flat black (with a roller or brush?) over the original paint (some of the stripes were not even sanded off!).

I race it as 12 second bracket car at MIR friday nights at the Midnight Madness street car race. It now has a steel crank .030 over 340 with J heads (I bought for $1000) , 3800 stall converter & 727 trans ($600) , and the 8.75 rear with a 4:10 sure grip ($300) and has run 12.11 @ 111.48 mph.

Cool car. According to a few people though, you could not get hood scoops on Dusters after 71. Not going to stop me from adding one though. :-D

I agree with adding 74-76.

Thanks for the info! I'll register it right now. Could you possibly email me your name, city & state?

OKAY, after some thinking. I've decided to change the registry. It's now for all 73-76 Dusters and Dart Sports.
