question about rear springs

The stiffer spring doesn't necessarily improve handling. It is more to put downward tension on th erear end so that you have less wheel hop or tire spin when you jump off the line. Also a stiffer spring wil allow you to carry more weight in the back of your car, like overload springs in a truck. I have a collapsed spring on my '66 Charger from carrying too much weight.
