Dis is My Ride!!!

I really appreciate the nice comments. My wife and I built the car over 6-1/2 years on a mobile home carport and driveway. It was even painted with the artwork and gold leaf in the driveway. I am driving it in an increasing radius from home for shake down. The 440 in it actually runs great on 87 octane with correct timing, the aluminum heads and a special Comp Cams solid with generous overlap. The Dana 60 has 4.10 gears and the Mickeys are 15x33 so final drive is user friendly on the road. It has a Hemi 4-speed in an A-body aluminum case and I just love it! I've always had pedal cars! It's a full chassis car built as a tribute to some of my old friends; Billy the Kid Stepp, Ried Whisnant, Ronnie Sox, Dick Landy and Butch Leal. When the time is right, we have a 406" roller motor with Eagle rods and all the really good parts for an 8,500 rpm engine. We also have 15x33 Goodyear slicks on Centerlines, and a spool set up to go in with 5.57 gears. I'm really not out to beat anybody...I just want to have fun driving it. Trust me, the street motor is frisky! Everything on it is fiberglass but the main body cab. I haven't weighed it yet. Again, thanks for the kind words, you all are terrific!
