Max's 67 Dart GT

Ok cool insight! Had no Idea about the Pistons or Distributor Differences
My Facts:
-The pistons got Ordered by my Step-Dad (Rick MacHale) and long time Drag racer. Great engine builder and has done many Mopars, but Never owned any so he missed the boat... He may never know what it's like to have your very own, poor guy. I let him drive mine around once. He, "Was Tickled" Great guy, but anyways... The pistons are ALL replacements because one of the Wrist pin clips Un-Snapped and blew up the piston and to also gouge the Heck out of the cylinder wall. That is how I got the car after that happening and my Dad (Real one this time) Parked the dart in storage for 12-15years approx. We took the block to get sleeved and ordered the re-build kit with proper camshaft and pistons everything in the cylinder block. I was 19 and had just graduated when I had to ditch my 71 Duster/6 I just put disks on had three Webers & Offy and a 4B man. for. it too just sitting there mocking me. had Hookers (Distracted) 8,000 miles and spun 3 rod bearings doing 110 down the highway on a quart low.
My Oppinion:
-Now The car seems to make tons of Compression by slowing down hard as soon as you lift and making but loads of torque. I can't keep my foot out of it in town. It's too much fun!
-I miss the Mechanical Secondaries of the Carter cause you could always hear them Click open and get hektic. White man's V-Tech. VAROOOM tech! White power!! But the 600 CFM Holley (Vac-2nds) is a stronger performer all around.
-No Headers have ever even thought about touching this car. Untill I read about TTi's. I am already packratting other original parts safely removed for better protection. Those casts wont last in good shape at these temps...
-I have thought about Elect. Ign. and bought a replacement distributor just like the one that was on it from year one... I would like to keep to era appropriate performance mods and I mean 67 not 68! So keep that in mind with suggestions.
-I do not like the Red engine with the Medium Turquoise Exterior. I knew about Chrysler orange as a lad. But I thought that Hemi Orange sounded cooler. I think it is colmpetely without red though and feel like I should pay hommage to the Red a little. Don't really remember all the **** I just read about 273 colors, will go re-read that engine color choice one one more time before I spray of smoke a bown instead and say screw it my car girlfriend can wear whatever color painties I want her too not the ones her momma gave her...
