the problem is, i bought the car to do a quick 400 swap to it with all my spare parts. but since i got it running with the slant and it runs pretty good, it is supposed to be a normal car.
I bought my slanted Swinger 10 years ago specifically for a 408 small block/5-speed swap. The slant has been modified/rebuilt since then, with plans for more mods in the future, and the 408 dream has... dissipated. (Although I'm gathering parts for a T-5 swap for the slant...)
Be careful, slants can be VERY addictive to certain kinds of people... ;)
