Early A 22" radiator saddle

Info for the poll.

Both of the 64 cars I have came with the 19" opening. One was an auto trans car & the other was a 4 speed. My Mother had a 1965 Barracuda with a 6 & it had a 22" radiator opening. The 65 & the 64 auto trans car didn't have AC. The 64 4 speed car had AC but I always assumed it was a dealer installed unit. It didn't have any radiator shroud & neither did the 65 6 cylinder car. Don't know about the 64 auto trans car as it's a parts car & had no radiator when I got it. I can double check but I don't remember any holes in it for AC lines.

Do you have any pics showing the location of the holes in the firewall? I'd be interested in comparing them to the holes in mine to see if they're in the same place. If they are, then I'd think that the holes in mine could have been put there at the factory & the AC might have arrived in the trunk like you mentioned. Also, I don't recall the receiver drier being mounted on the inner fender on my 64 4 speed car. Pretty sure it was somewhere behind the grille, but I took it off of the car over 30 years ago & my memory is a bit fuzzy.
