I'm selling my '66 Valiant Signet 2 dr hdtp. The car is a slant 6 with a column shift automatic and bucket seats. It was originally intended for a 360 stroker project, but I've had to scrap that. The engine runs fine, the tranny shifts soft and sometimes slips and the radiator leaks. Over all the body is in pretty good condition. The only rust is behind the passenger side rear wheel where the body line meets the inner well. The trunk still has the original careting which is in excellent shape. The carpet inside is in pretty good shape. The rear seat is excelent. The upholstery on both front seats is shot. The previous owner covered the lower part of the driver's seat in electrical tape, so if you don't have something to sit on you get tape goo all over your pants. The driver's side arm rest is broken off. The original radio is missing. All of the gauges work. the car has not been licensed since 2005. I started it up a couple of weeks ago for the first time in six months and drove it about 5 miles.

I will sell the car as is for $800.00 or, if I have to license it and repair the radiator it will be $1,000.00. I live about 90 miles north of Seattle, WA. If somebody wants to pay the full price, I will personally drive it to them in Washington, northern Oregon or parts of Idaho as long as I'm compensated for the trip home. Anyone is welcome to inspect the car. If I do not sell it beforehand, I will dirve it to the MoPar Spring Roundup in Everett on June 7th. It will be advertised there for $1,200.00, but if you say you are a member of the A bodies board the price will be $1,00.00. To save space, I'm only going to post a few of the pictures I took when I had it out a few weeks ago. I will always be happy to e-mail more pictures or take specific pictures that someone wants.

Steve

Thanks!!!!

Talk about a serious blunder!!!!!

I hope someone buys the car ad can give it a good home. That was my intention, but I haven't been able to live up to it.

I'm interested, I have to figure out if u-haul will let me take one of their trailers across the border or not, as I dont have my own. Hopefully we could work out a mutual metting place. I am 3 hours from the Montana border.

I don't have any way to tow the car, so if I deliver I will be driving. This means I need to be near a bus line or a train line so I can get back home. I also didn't want to drive more than a day away so that I wouldn't need to take any time off work. I could probably make it to one of the eastern Washington border crossings, but I would have no way back. If the car doesn't sell by early summer, I might be able to get it into Montana as my wife and I head east for our vacation. As it stands now though, I don't think I really have a way to deliver to any border other than Blaine, Lynden or Sumas. Sorry I can't get closer for you at the moment!

Rob,maybe check into the FABO transporting?Could be another member willing to take it to the border for you?Check into it,you never know?2 cents.I really like the car,s potential!

OK, I spoke to a friend of mine who says I could borrow his trailer to bring the car back. I will do some map perusing, and see what kind of proposal I can come up with.

What City Town are you actually in? The more I look the more I think I may just be better off to Fly into Abbotsford and have you meet me there? Is that a possibility?

Hi Robb,

I'm in Bellingham, WA. I live about 25 miles from Abbotsford. I could definitely meet you at the border. I prefer not to cross with the car unless I'm bringing you back into the States for the sale. I don't know what you need to do to import a car that old into Canada. Bringing my '66 Charger into the US was no problem once I had a notarized sales receipt, but I'm not sure about going the other direction, and I personally don't want to get caught in a mess. Please check beforehand about both the provincial (for B.C .and Alberta) and national requirements. I have a friend who had his truck , trailer and '69 Daytona held for 4 days because he didn't have the proper documentation to import the car into Canada. At one point they threatened to impound the whole kit and kaboodle...how often do you see the word kabodle? I just want to be sure that things go smoothly for you. I don't want you to hit any unforseen bumps in the road. Remember...the tranny is soft. While I'm willing to attempt delivery, I can't guarantee you that it will get you home on that long of a trip. While I think it will, again I don't want you to end up stranded somewhere.

Steve

I will take the car. I emailed you and left a message with your wife. I am right across the border in Vancouver. Lets set up a meet. Russ.
