Whats goin on in the Ft.Worth area?

I am just curious as to what the hurricane did to this area of Texas ? The reason being, I am in the process of buying some parts from someone on BBDart. I was in continuous contact with this person up until Monday. The day I dropped the money order in the mail. Since then, I have heard nothing back, no return to my mail to see if the money made it there OK or if my parts are on their way . I know the hurricane hit after I sent the mail off , but I was under the impression that it was not nearly as bad as predicted. Especially in the FT.Worth area ? Am I being unreasonable , to be expecting some email back so soon after the storm? I am asking for some input here because I have no idea how bad it is in that area ? Dave aka fastback383.........

I was in Ft. Worth for the hurricane weekend and can tell you they did not receive one drop of rain. A little windy on Saturday night but nothing else than that.

Don't know where they get their snail mail from but here in Houston it's way behind. Just got my mail today for the first time since Thursday. Since the power was out, the mail distributing place hadn't been up and running.

I just drove through there Sunday, The only problems they had was the traffic going south on I35.
 
I'd give it a little extra time Dave, since things are pretty hectic South of the border right now. Ft. Worth itself may not have been hit very hard, but the mail throughout that whole area will be impacted to a certain extent. Hope everything works out all right for you.
 
It seems the person who I am dealing with " BigblockDakota" has a history of yanking people around. There are 4 other people on BBDart who are waiting for stuff. He has also totally ignored any emails from them. He was found making posts on Bionicdodge. So he was just avoiding everyone. We will have to wait and see if any of us gets our parts. He told hotwheelsjr that he sent his parts almost 2 weeks ago. He lives in Arizona ! Bigblockdakota is in Texa. And he has not got them yet. Buyer beware ..... there are snakes everywhere.
 
AAAAHH - the plot thickens, and you're right to be suspicious of this dude. Hope you get your parts, but I'd definitely make sure this is the final purchase from this (seller?). Good luck.
 
Hope it works out for you, sounds like this guy is using the hurricane season,
for an excuse. I've only been burned once, thank goodness it was only a
25 dollar part. Good Luck!!
 
I was reading the posts on BBDart, and it sounds like you could be in for a long wait. People who are in a hurry to get your money but like to take their own sweet time about sending your merchandise, just really P!!SS me off. I think the tardiness may have been caused by another storm, probably around 1995. :) Good luck and keep the pressure on him.
 
Thanks guys, I was burned. Period. Unfortunately it will be a L O N G time before I trust anyone again. And that's too bad because I know 99.9 % of the people on my 2 favorite websites are great people. But with my luck , I'd try to buy something from the .1% that would screw me again. How does it go " Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice ,shame on me " I won't be fooled again , for a long time. Dave. I am very angry right now.....
 
that realu sucks! is there no way of finding this guy maybe use some bad tricks to get to him and then beat him to halfway death?
 
Did, you save any of the emails? If so print them out, and then take your money order recipt to the Post Office. Then file mail fraud, or atleast ask if you can. If you and the other 4 all file mail fraud then hopefully the PO will really look into this guy.
 
All is not lost Dave! Been doing some digging and you'd be amazed what was found! It seems that even Greg's fellow Texans are offering apologies for his actions and are providing info on him.

Check out the attached link , some interesting reading there. Yep, I got the parts. They are junk. Ray (kawazuki9087), still has not got his intake. I have not been reimbursed. He is telling lots of tales, and making lots of promises. But so far , in the last 2 months that is all I got from him , promises. See the pic of the rockers, many more with f 'ed bearings. Dave

Dave, by the look of that $h*t, you really pissed off Santa!! :roll: It's a shame that we have to put up with crap like that in our never-ending search for quality parts for our machines. I hope you manage to either get your money returned or get some good replacement parts from this Assh*le for that junk he sent you. Keep us posted, and have a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Years. :drinkers:
