I'm moving in a couple of weeks to Vero Beach, Florida from North Jersey. I was just wondering if any of our people are down in this area. Hopefully I'll have more good days to work and play with car. Also need to find the best watering holes around there. Mike
 
At least there's a few of us down there. Probably a lot of Ferds and Chebbies. Should be easy pickins.
 
Thats not too far from where I'm moving. Any good Mopar meets around that you know of? I know my friend just went to a big Mustang thing in Orlando. Do you know of any 1/4 drags in Fl.? Mike
 
I'm near Daytona Beach.

1/4 mile tracks in Orlando, Gainesville & West Palm Beach.
1/8 mile in St.Pete, Immokalee, Holt and there are a couple others I'm forgetting. Jacksonville is gone, but they are looking at alternate locations.

Real nice all-Mopar show at Don Garlit's Museum off I-75 near Ocala in Nov. and Daytona Speedway has a Spring and Thanksgiving car show/swap meets.

Thanks Myron, that sounds great. I've heard of Garlits' place and that is one of the first places I'm going to visit. I hear they have a nice Mopar museum there with a lot of his hemi race cars there. How about junkyards? Do you know of any good ones. Thanks Mike
 
The only one I've been to lately is the U-Pull-It on 92 in Daytona. They get an A body or on rare occasions, a B or C body in. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to go to any others, so I don't know if they are "good". Several have closed down in Volusia County but there are still a few left.

2005 was the first time I went to Garlt's show as a spectator. Looking forward to the next one!
 
Just wanted to say "HI" from Palm Bay, Fl, Just a few towns up from Vero. I have 2 Dusters a 72 and a 73.
 
Wanted to say hey i'm west of Orlando have a 70 Dart that im working on, welcome to Florida . I'm looking for an A body 8 3/4 incase anyone has one thanks Dennis
 
I'm from Orlando...but I live in Kentucky now...does that count. LOL. You guys make'in me jealous down there...Check out 'Old Town' in Kissimmee ..Sat. nights. Awsome. Terry.
 
I may be making the move from New York to Melbourne soon. I'll know for sure this coming week (hopefully).

Aww, Heck I just realized you got a new job and wont be coming to Melbourne. :sad: We coulda had some fun at the Florida track(s). Don't make me bring my car to E-Town...LoL If I gotta "drag" it that far I'll make sure I'm gonna win :)
 
Don't forget the Friday and Sat. nite shows at Olde Town In Kissimmee.

And I'm glad they shut down the 1/8 mile JAX Raceway. I couldn't get my Dakota R/T to hook there, much less the Dart.
