The problem with putting the larger valves in the 302 heads is the shrouding that they get in the clyinder and the chamber, I've done the same thing years ago and lost HP and torque, you're better off with the smaller valves as the velocity for the street will be much better and much more torque. The small valves and cams are good to 5000rpms easy, and how many street engines are going to go over this anyway.
