Damn Mike! A website I just looked at says you've got 42 different species of snakes in Arkansas - 6 of them are poisonous!
As much as I dislike snakes I think I may just only drive through Arkansas with the doors locked and the windows up.
Years ago my 'ex' and I were going to buy a brand new house that was right next to a wilderness area. One of the existing homeowners was telling us how they found a baby rattlesnake in their garage the week previous. I told them any loud noise they might hear after we moved in would be my Ithaca 12-guage getting rid of an unwanted 'guest' in the yard.
