273 vs 318

Might ty to use the search, there are a bunch of recent posts discussing 273/318 combos.

That being said, find yourself a set of '302' casting heads - there's tons of cars that used them - Dippys, Gran Furys, vans, trucks etc. - basically anything with a 318 made in the '80s. They have 1.78" valves, and are the well-documented closed-chamber swirl port design. They are also legal replacements for 273 cars running in NHRA stock eliminator. Those heads should wakethings up. They are LA series so everything else should basically bolt right up.
