I was wondering if someone could explain how to remove the chrome on top of the side windows. Im trying to sand and primer the top and it would be almost impossible to do so with out damaging them.

I did this a few years ago. The trick is to be careful and patient. Start from one end with a screw driver with some cloth over it and walk it off, it's on a kind of track. I'm trying to remember if any part of it slid off or if I had to walk the whole thing off the tracks, just don't put too much pressure on it because it's SO easy to warp it!

You can also use an old bottle opener (wrapped in tape) to work it off. Pull the top of the moulding towards you.

thanks everyone i removed it. there is some type of rubber thing underneath that i guess holds the chrome in. does anyone know what this is? its really old and I most likely replace it.
