Cloth seat refinishing?

I am wanting to put Corbeau TRS seats in my Dart. However, they are $320 each, plus $78 each for slider brackets.

I know a guy with two 73 A-body buckets I can have for $50 (for the set). They need to be recovered, but they are cheap. However, I do not want vinyl seats..I'm in Texas, and the car has no A/C.

Does anyone know where I can get the seats refinished in cloth?? Preferably in the general Dallas/Ft Worth area.

Also, I still haven't decided whether or not to keep the back seat. My car is a convertriple, so there is less leg room in the backseat than a normal Dart Sport. I don't really think any of my 250+ lb friends will be sitting back there, so I'm thinking about just pitching it and saving the weight. I already have a factory backboard, so I won't need to sheetmetal the interior either.

You could order replacement seat covers from Legendary and replace them yourself. It's not a real hard job to do.

Yeha check out Legedary- I just started recovering a set of buckets for my car today- their kits are beautiful. And what do you mean theres less leg room than a normal Dart Sport- I have the fold down seat in my Dart Lite and theres just as much room as a normal seat- in fact I've seen the lower seat cushion from a fixed seat go into a folding seat car and they went in the same spot. Maybe your thinking of a regular Dart- I know my Swinger has a ton more leg room in the back!

Maybe that's what I'm thinking. There is only about 8-10 inches of legroom in the back. Do you have the extra space behind back seat when the seat is up? It's accessible from the cabin.

I recovered my buckets in my 70, they came out pretty good being

this was the first time I attempted re-upholstering. I did not change

the foam padding, so I have to do them again eventually, just

drivers anyway, passenger foam was good. Also, buy both sets

of hog ring pliers from Eastwood. It will save you a lot of time.

Get the straight and angled hog ring pliers, and don't forget to

order the hog rings themselves. Good Luck!!!

yeah I have that little spot behind the seat, ilove that option it works good for- uh- hauling stuff- yeah thats right! :la:
