Looks like you and your dad did some nice work there, Mike. :salut:
Well besides the obvious one's, that everybody wants, the very first one would want would have to be the 1970 Duster that two of my uncle's had owned. Originally it was a 340-4 spd Plum Crazy car that someone put a 440-727 in it, and that did it for me, I was for ever changed. Second would be the 1968 Roadrunner that my friend had our last two years of high school. It was a 383-727 with 3.23 gears, that he, his father and I redid the body, added headers, and had a blast with.

My buddy's and I have never been able to just pick just one vehicle. There are too many to choose from.

That 69 cada sure looks fast and a jumper Mike,I myself was raised by grandmother, she was grate. But there was a farmer in fla,A strawberry grower, every year I was there he would fire up his 70 cuda hemi in his metal barn,If I was not picking stawberrys that day,he would take me for a pas down the street and back, rollbars and gadges was so cool when I was 11 to 12 years old.At 14 years old he took me and his brother to lakeland fla where he raced,My first time at a dragstip,His cuda was a creamy white and said in larg letters MOTHERS WORRY and I seen wy.He should have called it WALKIN TALL the front tires did not come down for at least 40 ft.I will never forget that trip they took me on, Ive never seen so many people at one place in my life,Now that I think about it GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS,I sure would like to thank them for that expeireans... Yep I would like to have one just like it.Good folks got fast cars.jerks just try to keep up.

I never knew anyone with one, but I always wanted a Brubaker Box Van, after seeing one in a magazine. But now I realize it would just be a problem car.

I've always wanted a Bricklin SV-1 also, but again, a problem car. The mechanic down the street has one and repairs a few around town, so I see them quite often.

Third, I grew up with a Galaxie 500 Wagon and always wanted one, but there are no parts available and again, a real problem car to restore!

Back in 1970 I bought a 1970 duster 340 w/auto,buckets,but not posi. This was the best car I ever owned and I've been trying to get another to no avail.I have now purchased a 75 duster w/318 and it's for sale and I also have a 74 duster w/360 and 4 speed and am presently rebuilding it with my son and a buddy.Looks like this will be a family keeper and we are all thrilled. Can't wait to get it on the road.

I want to find a 65 Impala SS for my dad- he sold it after I was born and has kicked himself about it for the last 20+ years. The one car I'd do anything for would be a 72 Demon GSS- I wasn't around when they were new but I wish I would have been!

Ever since I knew what a car was, I've always wanted a '68 HEMI dart with a 4spd. Number two would be a '68 HEMI 4 spd. charger. Last but certainly not least would be a '63 Dodge 330 with the 413 max wedge w/ the long cross ram intake. There's my $.02.

67 gtx my dad had the first one sold in our county ,special ordered .it was our family car and his weekend drag car

When I was a senior in high school my brothers friend had a
1969 Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds #78 that he was selling for 2500 bucks!!!
I took a ride in it a couple times, I would have been the "Big Man
on Campus", if I could have afforded that car, it was really quick.
My brother almost bought it and he still brings it up, to this day.

I wish I still had my '69 Road Runner, I bought it in '87 for
1500 bucks, 383 Auto, it was sitting in a garage on the south
side of Chicago 2 blocks from house!! The car was sitting since '78.
I sold it in '99 right before I moved to California.
I'm still concrete booting myself in the *** for selling it.

The last car I wish I had was this 1964 Cadillac Sedan de Ville Type
76S. My brother bought that car in '79 from the original owner
it had 35,000 miles. Price, 150 bucks!! and miracuosly had no rust.
Last year, of the finned Caddies!!!!

Love the old station wagons!!!!! I picked up a 1959 EDSEL
Villager for 250, when I was in Minnesota. Its all there but
been sitting since 77 I think. Gonna make a cool towing vehicle
out of it. It should have no problem towing a car & trailer.

1) I miss my '69 post RR
2) 68 Yellow GTS
3) Both 70 challengers
4) My first car 54 chy New Yorker
5) Triumph Dolomite sprint

My Uncle had a 69 Super Bee, Hemi, 4 spd, Dana. It was orange, with a six pack hood and side gills. Toughest damn car I ever saw. I was only eleven, but I knew this was one special beast!

Well at one time in my mothers backyard, this is NO joke (maybe i can find a picture) I had a 67 coronet r/t, 70 challenger r/t convert 383 pistol, air a/c p/s p/b am/fm/8 track.and a dana,... 68 coronet 318 2door,..71 el camino ss, 71,72, 74 barracudas...69 super-bee....69 r/r... 68 GTX 440 4sd dana ..2-70 r/r 4sds... 70 coronet 318 .....AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST A 40 FEET TRAILER THAT A GROUP MY FATHER BELONGED TO CALLED THE "SON'S OF ITALY" MADE INTO ONE OF THOSE THINGS YOU BRING TO THE COUNTY FAIRS AND SOLD FOOD OUT OF...AND YES IT WAS RED,WHITE AND GREEN... THIS IS GOD'S HONEST TRUTH...

I was brought home from the hospital as a baby in a 1969 Chevelle SS396. When I was a kid, my dad had a 64 Falcon Sprint which I have never forgiven him for selling. My dad now has a 1959 Corvette with dual quads, and my mom has a 1974 Firebird Formula with a built 350, dual exhaust and posi traction. Before my son was born, my daily driver was a 66 Mustang.

I'd take any of those cars, but I'm happy with the Dart I've got now. I'll be even happier when I get all the things done I want to accomplish... about 2 years from now. :)

I've always kinda wanted a Gremlin. Anyone else have that strange desire?

Back in '74 I had a friend in collage that had a GremlinX I wanted one but ended up with a AMC Spirit DL a few years later very close to same but longer tail and a LOT slower!

i would love to have my first car again a 78 subaru brat i loved that car and would love to have another funnest car on four wheels

My 8th grade art teacher wanted to sell a MINT '68 Mustang convert to my father for $800...dark metallic green, white top & interior, 58k on odo. Dad (non-car guy) offered $650, teacher put in paper and had a bidding war in his front yard. About 2 weeks later, dad tells me to let fore mentioned teacher know he'll give him $800 for it (one of his buddies told him it was a helluva deal) :thumblef: . A pilot at UPS offered me a '70 Cuda for $7500 back in '95, but it needed quarter patches and I was in school- car had the drivetrain, suspension and brakes all done, 383, road lamps, 15" rallyes. Turned down 2 chances at '70 Hemi Cudas'; one in '97 (my friend's brother, priced at $48,000 and very original/NICE) and one in '99 (semi-ratty, buddy seat bench w/column shift for $26,500). Turned down a '69 Formula S 383 'Cuda body for $900- purported owner was too shady for my trust/money. Kinda makes me want to :drinkers: :silent: then :sad2:. Better learn to laugh, eh?

Wish I had my Dad's 63 Belvedere 383/727 E/SA family car. That car was a street driven family car that raced every weekend and did well.

Kinda wish i had the 70 coronet 440 my dad give me as my 1st car....but then again kinda wish I had my dad more!!!

Well I wish I had my 73 Duster /6 car back. Make a long story short but I gave it to a junk yard. Yup I said "GAVE IT". The thing was MINT 85k original miles. My very first car was a 67 Cougar. Wish I had that one too! Other than Mopars that was the only car that I would consider buying. It was black with black vinyl top just like my Swinger. Man I wish I still had it. Stupid decisions we make over the years, uh???

I'd love to have a big black '61 4 door Newport with a snow white interior and a '67 Notchback Barracuda in white with light blue interior or metallic purple (yeah yeah I know it's not original) with a black interior (but purple piping on the seats of course!). I also wouldn't mind having a Sassy Grass Green AAR 'Cuda like a model I have. I love model cars and the very first one I ever bought (probably in 2nd grade) was an AAR 'Cuda.

...I'm going to stop now :thumblef:

In the mid '70s I knew a guy with a GTX with a hopped up 440. He was a farm boy and lost it on a dirt road trying out his new engine. The car went into the ditch & was pretty messed up. His older brother had recently traded a Barracuda Gran Coupe with a 383 straight across at a used car dealer for an AAR 'Cuda that was a solid car, but well used. He took it home, painted it in black primer, & pulled the engine to work on it. When his little brother wrecked the GTX they decided to put the 440 in the AAR to street race. A year or so later they pulled the 440 out of the car & parked it in one of their farm buildings, where it sat, with the engine in pieces. I tried to buy the AAR from him several times & he always said "$2300, that's what I have in it in parts & machine work, that's what I want for it."

Later on he got interested in old Harleys, & when I would run across him at some biker get-together I would tell him to call me when he really wanted to sell it. One day I saw him & he said "I finally sold that Trans AM Barracuda." I asked "How much did you get for it?" He said "Oh, some oil field guy came buy. Had a thousand dollars on him, money looked good at the time......." I said "A thousand dollars!?! I would have given you a thousand dollars for that car any time!!! :sad2:

Moral: Money talks! I still kick myself over that one. :banghead:

:burnout:

When i was growing up my dad had a 70 340 duster and my fav of all time a 72 Jet black roadrunner with a 440 in it....oh man how i loved that car
