Cars You Wish You Could Have Now

My 8th grade art teacher wanted to sell a MINT '68 Mustang convert to my father for $800...dark metallic green, white top & interior, 58k on odo. Dad (non-car guy) offered $650, teacher put in paper and had a bidding war in his front yard. About 2 weeks later, dad tells me to let fore mentioned teacher know he'll give him $800 for it (one of his buddies told him it was a helluva deal) :thumblef: . A pilot at UPS offered me a '70 Cuda for $7500 back in '95, but it needed quarter patches and I was in school- car had the drivetrain, suspension and brakes all done, 383, road lamps, 15" rallyes. Turned down 2 chances at '70 Hemi Cudas'; one in '97 (my friend's brother, priced at $48,000 and very original/NICE) and one in '99 (semi-ratty, buddy seat bench w/column shift for $26,500). Turned down a '69 Formula S 383 'Cuda body for $900- purported owner was too shady for my trust/money. Kinda makes me want to :drinkers: :silent: then :sad2:. Better learn to laugh, eh?
