I couldn't agree with you more! $125,000 25 years ago? Someone is full of --it. That is the trouble with these "collector" types. They seem to think none of us were around back then. 25 years ago I was driving THE Old Dominion B/FX 421 SD GTO on the street looking for Hemi cars to take a bet. I remember the first GM car to fetch over 10K at auction, and it was only two years prior. Before that only a couple Hemi E-bodies, and mostly '67 427 tri-power 'vettes were in the $10,000-$25,000 ball park...125K... Hahahaha. Possibly 427 AC Cobras were fetching that price, and my buddy bought one. He still owns it. My Brother-in-law is the restoration guy for one of the biggest Mopar collectors in the world. He has a couple of those Hemi Challengers. One I particularly like is a 20K mile, '71 Hemi Challenger in Winchester grey... nearly flawless. Has/had (everything is always for sale) a 17,000 Mile '71 Hemi 'cuda in Curious Yellow, a red Hemi Daytona, A few '70 Hemi 'cudas, half a dozen 440+6 '71 'cudas... He got into it in 1990. Shortly after that the price started to balloon.
