1966 Barracuda 440 build

-
Thanks pettyblu, Ive working on interior stuff here and there to try and not have the whole shooting match to do at the end. Its amazing how much stuff the carpet can hold isnt it? lol

Needsaresto its sure is going to be tight but its going to fun when its finished!

Dang Dawg!! You have things looking so good =P~
Don't you just love getting to paint your product
And the detail prep for paint is behind you.:clock::cheers:
Great work going on here Ron
A 440 early A will be so cool. I would put allot of cam in your throttle movement to the peddle so you can peddle the monster when you mash the go pedal.:burnout: =P~

Thanks Mike! It sure does feel good to be finally at the point where all the "grunt work" sanding, wire wheeling, sandblasting, and cleaning up is really letting me finish off a lot of things on the to-do list. It sure is nice to see some things finished!

Looking fantastic Badawg, I really like the color, and I want to see the motor too. I may have you put my 451 in mine!!!

dang dawg. when youre done that cant be a barracuda cause flying fishes is marlins.welcome to the bbb,big block brotherhood. torque aint only for wrenches. lol

It'll be a neck snapper all right!

I remember the guy who put the 392 in was actually scared of the car...I think he said he had serious traction issues in all gears, lol!

Therefor, make sure you have a really good rear suspension that works!

I definitely like your project. Looks good, cannot wait for more pics

i had a freind years ago who built a big block 65 cuda the guy had front end weight issues said the car was front heavy and had a hard time steering it because of the wheelbase being so small it scared him so bad racing it he swapped it back to a 360 but then that was 20 years ago im sure there better suspension parts availible.
but i cant wait to see how it comes out ive wanted to do it to and thats the only thing thats stopped me

I would say that a big engine in any small car could cause problems like that. They have heavier T-bars and reinforced LCA along with better shocks. We'll see, I know that stock SB T-bars work fine in 73 and 74 dusters but they are bigger car. I too am anxious to see how Badawgs car comes out.

It is really coming along Ron. Great job on the dash!
This is motivating me to start on the 66 Dart!

Ron must still be playing carpenter, or maybe he is just building the suspense! I'm not one to talk but it's fun to keep up with your buddys builds too.

LOL guys! Between the kids starting summer break and us going to the beach and then Cedar Point (amusement park) alog with getting the pool opened and part of the pool deck torn down I havent touched the car in the last 2 weeks unfortunately! Tonight will be the first time in the last 2 weeks that Im "kid free" and I need to get the back patio finished up but after that its back into the garage to get rolling again since all of the other summer projects are out of the way. Ill for sure get lots of pics along the way to add so hang in there a little longer and things should get back to mvoing along fast! Thanks for all of the great comments and motivation guys!

Heres the 440 going in. I know the pics are small, Im just to lazy to resize them right now lol

Its in! The last pic shows how the new torsion bars and KYB shocks have the front still sitting nice and high even with the extra weight of the engine and trans.
