Who's running a PG behind a small block?

I want to run a transbrake in heads-up racing and I have been told the PG holds up better. If it's cheaper to go with the 727 I would, but I'm really looking for something that will hold up. By the time I get a brake and alum drum for the 727 I will be looking at 1500 with labor. If it breaks, there goes my season. I can replace a PG for half the price. I may be wrong about this whole deal, I have never run a transbrake. My combo is only pushing 425hp.
