Well guys.Had a posting awhile back about my car not running like i thought it should. So took everyones suggestions on my quest for 10's.Pulled the motor and tore it down.Put new rings and bearings in,and finding a slight amount of cap walk installed a main bearing girdle.Sent the heads to Shady Dell because the guys seemed really straight up.Ended up finding out there were a few things wrong with the combo. So Ryan cnc ported the heads, new 2.08"/1.60" valves, valve springs, retainers, keepers ect.Heads ended up flowing 326/233 @ .050".Also ended up going with a roller,276/280@50" .712"/.698" and had him do me up an Indy intake.Threw in a chain tensioner also. And while the car was down put on a Caltrac setup with mono leafs and shocks. Also upgraded to a Aeromotive A-2000 fuel pump and larger fuel lines.Turbo action 4500 stall got installed last night.Still have a few days left because i had to hunt down the W5 intake end spacers that i never knew i needed.Found them at Jegs of all places. So if i get this thing tuned in is it in the 10's?Should this do it?Hopefully be at the track in a few weeks. The work SD did was awesome.I hope spending all my side job money is going to payoff :prayer:

Sounds like debugging the combo found some issues. I dont recall the combo. But the parts you mention you should be well on your way.

Be careful...depending on the rest of the combo, you might miss the 10's and dip into the 9's! What was the old combo? What else is in the current set-up? Sounds like a 600+ horsepower beast!

I Agree With Flyfish,if The Motor Is In 600 Hp. Range Your Converter Will Stall At About 5ooo Range, you Should See Some 1.3 60 Ft Times. You Should Just Inch Into 9s. Good Luck !!! Gary:cheers:

Thanks guys.Old combo had smaller cam, unported heads, and less compression. Also ended up with 14.1 compression up from the previous 12.5.Had to buy new pistons to deal with a little VTP clearance issue so i stepped it up a little on compression to try to find some hp.Otherwise same H-beam rods, stroker crank,ATI damper ect.Did also get a main stud girdle. Was hoping between that and the block fill the block might last longer. As of right now im trying to get the geometry on the rockers to line up on the valve correctly.I have Harland Sharp 1.5's andam having an issue.Trying to get it running because its entered in the Pinks All Out in September and i want to see what it runs before the race. Thanks for the replys. This thing ever gets back together i"ll give you the results. As everyone on this sight knows, theres alot of one off stuff that goes into getting mopars together since there not cookie cutters.Everytime i get one thing done, two other problems pop up lol.

Sent the heads to Shady Dell because the guys seemed really straight up.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for the integrity of the Guys at Shady Dell. A recent experience with them showed me just how honest they are, you choose a good shop, I highly recommend them.

600 Hp Would Be A Very Conservative Figure...really Closer To 700 Plus, And 10's Would Be A Slow Pass....9's Easy....good Luck To Ya....sounds Like Fuuunnn!

Let us know how it works out for you. I've been toying with stepping up my cam. I think the dur. no's that you're running are more suitable to my setup. Good luck!

Thanks for the moral boost guys haha.Have missed two track days now due to side work.Car feels extremely fast driving around, but of course they always do on the street. The dominator hates idleing and driving around at low rpm,but man, when you crack it open things happen in a hurry!Feels MUCH stronger then the last combo, and pulls like a freight train up into the high R's.Hope it runs as hard as it feels.Have to get the cal tracs dialed in but the drag radials dont stand a chance on the street.Their like big black crayons lol.
