A vendor on a Chevy truck forum I am a member of is becoming a Caltrac Authorized Dealer. He is judging interest for a group purchase. This group purchase is open to any standard application listed here.

The pricing for the group purchase is:
The pricing for 4 orders is $309 (not including shipping)
If I can get 10 it will be $280 (not including shipping)

He is not taking orders just yet, but I know there are 3 people committed to buying. So far that is all the information I have. If you have a question, post it and I will forward it along. Or if you want to contact the vendor directly, here is his website - Captkaos

Please post here if you are interested. A Yes, No or Maybe is sufficient. I have crossposted this to all the Mopar forums I am active on, so if you see this more than once I appologize. Please only reply in one place though so I don't count you twice.

And remember, this is not my group purchase. I am just passing along the information. :salut:

How much for a set of +1" mono springs for an A-body?
Right now this is just for the Caltrac bars. I'll ask to see if he can get the springs. I need a set myself.

It looks like the group buy is a go. He will place the order with Calvert Racing as soon as he receives confirmation emails for 10 sets of bars. Below is how to initiate your order. Do not email your actual credit card number, just which card you intend to use if not paying with a money order.

With that said. If those that are 100% confirmed on this will send an email to webmaster@73-87chevytrucks.com with CALTRAC Group Buy in the subject and your name and shipping address and Application and anything you think is relative AND how you plan to pay ( I take Discover, MC, Visa and money order) for this I would appreciate it. BTW, we are at 11 right now if the list at the first post is correct. Please check it.

Feel free to tell him you saw this on a Mopar site.

In case you are interested, here is a link to the thread on the Chevy forum.
CalTracs - anyone interested? -Group Buy
My screenname is 454HO

This Guy has NO Account with CalTracs and nor will he ever get one without meeting the strict criteria and upholding the distribution agreement that John Calvert has in place. There's many Distributors of Caltracs just like us that follow the rules and do a good job marketing and stocking John's product. I doubt John will jeopardize his relationship with his distribution network to sell this one hit wonder.

Can't you guy's see how these deals are like shitting on the people who support this hobby of ours, the advertisers on this board that keep it free and your rolling the dice that you will actually ever get your stuff.

Go look at this guy's web site, he's working on A-One-Uno-as in Singular old Chebby pick-up, does he take credit cards, does he even have a business bank account, is he set up with UPS, DHL, FedX to get the stuff delivered to you? Is he a Member of PRI, SEMA, NHRA, IHRA or any of the other organizations that fight day in and day out to maintain a place for you to race, be allowed to drive your car on the street and in some states even own a classic car.

There's a lot more to this business than just price, if all you want is the cheapest price and your not willing to allow the people that fight to keep this industry alive the opportunity to make a $ or $$ to support your hobby then it will go away. You will be legislated right out of the drivers seat and your Mopar will end up in a crusher.

Legitimate Business keeps your Hobby Legitimate, if you want Cheap China is now marketing cars at Costco, they're on the pallet racking on Isle 4.

There's my 2 cents worth

Well I'm keeping my eyes open on this deal...I have seen group buys like this before on diesel sites for stuff and they turned out okay....we will see. I understand what you mean there Don.....don't bite the hand that feeds you.....supplier/distributor relationships are important...

Just got an email and the price is $339 + shipping.....still just as good as anyone elses price so I am gonna go ahead and keep the order.

Mopars at The Strip....

We'll be bringing in 9 Cars ....so far
Look for our pit area and display to the right as you enter the gate.

CalTracs anyone?

We'll be doing a full installation at our booth on Friday Afternoon, our 65 Valiant will make 2 test passes on SS Springs. As soon as he's done, John Calvert himself and our Pit Crew guy's will gut the old suspension and bolt in a new set of Bars, Mono Leafs and Shocks.
Grab a wrench and lend a hand, crawl under the car and watch, take pictures and ask questions.

Saturday we'll compare time slips to see how much quicker the Valiant runs.

John Calvert will be there all weekend so if your thinking about CalTracs this is a great opportunity to meet the man and learn how to set them up and get the most from this product.

Ask about our Show Special on CalTracs!

I got a set from Chris through the group buy at the $339 price.......they should be here this week......looking forward to installing them and seeing how well they work. I must say Chris is a very nice guy and he was up front and honest with me on the whole deal. I know he made a mistake on the orginal price but the final price wasn't anymore than anyone else's so that's why I kept my order with him.....
