Wow, no insurance on the building or the cars themselves is negligence on every one's part. Don't get me wrong, the ultimate responsibility for this crime is the arsonist. When Pop and I had our resto shop here in NY our insurance company insisted every car we brought in had insurance on it, too, so in the event of something like this happening both insurance companies could fight out to see what was covered and what wasn't, with our insurance being responsible for the building and contents and individuals' insurance being responsible for the car itself. There was no way in hell I was going to be entrusted with the care of a valuable piece of a iron without having something to back me up on it. I definately couldn't afford to replace any of it.
Wow. It's not just the cars, but the sympathy for the shop owner. Can he afford to replace each and every one of those cars out of pocket? The lawyers are standing by...
