NV 3500 5 speed swap

I have a NV 3500 5 speed out of a 96 1/2 ton pick-up.Has anyone done this swap.The recipient of this tranny would be my 64 Valiant, at present powered by 273 2bbl. Considering a swap to a swirl port headed 360.Does anyone know what this trans will handle,horse power-wise? It was a 1/2 ton truck. I thought the hydraulic clutch woul make it a little easier.Any thoughts? 8)
