I don't have time to give all the details about court but Steve and I kicked their a$$ and got a full settlement!!

If it wasn't for Steve I would have been SUNK! he got the video that we needed.

Justice has been served!!

I'm happy for you Brett. Good to see true justice served.

It's been a long time coming and I have renewed faith that there is justice. I'm glad this chapter of my life long book is closed. We went there with great evidence and to speak only the truth. Even though we knew we were right, you just never know what can happen. They offered me $1250 to settle before court and after talking with Steve we decided to go for it. I had nothing to lose. I didn't need the money although it is nice, I went for the principle of the deal. So taking a settlement that didn't fit the crime seemed like losing to me. We deicded to let the truth come out and if I may say so did an exelent job in court presenting the facts while these guy's grabbed at straws. The Judge saw right through it and kept the proceedings on track while these guy's tried to throw them off track. I am proud of our effort needless to say!! Steve did an great job today! if it wasn't for him I would have lost.

I made the final decision to turn down the offer and go in front of the judge and here's why.

If you know Steves and my history then you know we don't like to lose. Since we were on the same team and had our sh&t together I figured let's let them have it. They were up against two winner's and had nothing but opinion to offer! We had proof and a desire to win so I figured let's have at it. I didn't go this far to take a settlement, I had intended to go all the way if need be, so I did. I'm really glad I made that decision not because of the money, but because of all the wrong's that go unpunished due to people afraid of consequence and circumstance it was time to stuff some of this down the right hole. If you know what I mean.

I thank Steve for backing me up on the deal, you don't find better friends than him! Period.

its good to see justice done. I am glad you didnt sell out Brett, Vendors need to learn that we as consumers are not going to roll over and play dead or settle for a fraction of what you got screwed out of just because the are willing to throw you a bone when you bought the whole cow. Congrats!!!

Congrats  Sounds like you and Steve really kicked butt :thumrigh: It's nice to see the good guys win, especially in todays justice system.

Brett and I have been best of friends even through a stiff Mopar vs Ford rivalry that was as tough as they come. When Brett couldn't meet with the paint rep the least I could do is go in his place and record it for him.

Having a third party they chose say on tape that it was a problem with the clear definately tipped the scales in our favor. Maybe I should have mentioned to him the camera was on..............

After the verdict Brett hands me 200.00 to take on the family trip I had planned. I never expected a dime and had a hard time taking it but I really appreciated the gift.

Brett is a first class friend and I'm glad this one went his way. Now that we're in the Perry Mason mode maybe I should talk to my old engine shop again (lol).

..im missing something, what exactly happened? why were you in court?

but congratulations nonetheless.

I took the body shop that screwed up my paint job to court. They would not take care of the problem so I paid them and got my money they owed me for having to re do it.

Hey John, I even got $650 labor out of them for installing the new header's they bought from you at list. :thumrigh:

Serves them right!

Thanks for your help John!
