Anybody know of a place to purchase defroster tube hoses for a non-a/c Duster. These are the tubes that go up through the dash from the heater core & fan housing to your vents in the dash for defrost. I know I will hardly ever have to use defrosters being in California, but I would still want them operational. I tried a few boneyards and they were junk. Tried Paddock & Year one and no one carrys them. Any ideas, some shops said to try to make my own, I could do that but would prefer correct equipment. 8)

Good luck with the defrost hoses. to my knowledge no one is making them, and nos are not around either. Bone yards are usually rotted away.

I just went thru this with two of my cudas and had to fabricate them. take your time and make a couple. I got some hoses from autozone and made them using good uality duct tape ( ordinance tapr in the Navy).

Thanks for help I knew I would probably have to make them I tried 2

more junkyards, 1 in Oregon, and another in Arz. they said they had some

but disintegrated when they tried to pull them off! Anyways, I got

to be friends with the guy in Arz. so he said he will keep checking for me

if simething comes up .

The hose from shop vacs to me sounds like a good idea if I could find the rite diameter, they are durable and who the heck would know? Good Suggestion I will keep it mind!

it cost's less and is easier to get the "mighty duct" from autozone...should be on the top shelf near the fluid additives....in green and yellow boxes...i got the right diameter in a 6' length for $13, i think...it was pretty inexpensive and worked GREAT...i may actually have enough left over for your car...i'd have to check

go to the autoparts store and buy some silver tubing. You know the one where it hooks from your air cleaner to the exhaust manifold heat shield.

I cabbaged the hoses off the duster I found. One was a rubber-coated fabric, one was that weird fiber cloth. Both were mint. Both were factory.

I've never seen the vinyl one before?

I know I'm coming in about 5 months late on this conversation, but is there a manual or something that will tell me the diameter of these hoses? I have a 73 Dart and mine are both missing as well.:banghead:

I just started with a idea that looks very promising . With mine I peeled all the paper tube off leaving just the spring . The plan was to put a nylon over the spring put it back in place and use fiber glass resin to harden in place . It looked so good I think now I am going to just put 3 or 4 black nylons over it and be done .

Richard Ehrenberg sells them sometimes on eBay, the correct tapered units! His eBay ID is "Rehrenberg"

Are you looking for OE type? If not I bought hoses from here.

I bought 3 feet of both the (DH20) 2" and (DH25) 2.5" as well as this 1 of these.

Worked great and went on very well!

I bought a similar 2"to 2 1/2" adapter from my neighborhood Orchard Supply Hardware in the plumbing section where they keep their PVC tubes and elbows.
