Headers and Starter - Tight Fit

I'm not sure if anyone has run into this problem, but we noticed that the headers are a very tight fit, even with the mini starter recommended by TTI. My concern is heat. Based on the picture below, do you think the starter, especially the rubber and plastic pieces will melt from the exhaust heat? If so, does anyone have any ideas as to how I can shield the starter?
