I had been riding all day and met a couple that we cruised with most of the day. They found out we had a Viper and wanted to see it so we went to my house and Mindy took his wife for a ride and I took him for a ride in the Cuda. Well I had a few beers so I was a bit loose. I let him drive my car and he decided to nail it in 1st. Put the freakin car sideway's and then grabbed second and spun it the other direction just barely missing a curb. I said pull this ****** over and stop. I think the guy about pissed himself. He nailed the go pedal and all hell broke loose. I showed him where the pass seat was real quick. He was a nice guy and really freaked about what happened. I never gave him permission to get on it so I didn't think he would. He admitted he never expected that to happen. There's only one person I know can hang onto my car and that is Steve ZEATER, from now on nobody but me or Steve get behind the wheel. PERIOD

I should of had my freakin head examined.

Close call. Glad nobody was hurt and nothing damaged. It only takes a couple brewskies to alter your judgement.

Man, your car is WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY too nice to let anyone but a very close and trusted friend drive it. Good thing he didn't blow up your 3rd member, or miss a shift and scatter that motor.

Sounds like he lifted too early, third gear would have straightened that baby right out and lined up a nice fourth gear powershift!
Seriously, I would never lay hard into someone elses car, even my good friends. Its just common sense and respect.

You would think......if you was smart.. if it spins sideways in first...to quit.....i've drove my buddies truck....and i got on it...but i asked first......and sometimes i get on it in a car but for a short time...just to feel the power......i don't lay into it..by the way...i'm alittle late coming into this forum...whats the car got in it and what not??

dizamn.
....no way. i dont lay it out in someone elses car, unless they give me permission, and i always tell my friends not to 'hoss' my car. but then again, ive let nobody but myself drive my valiant.. oh, my dad drove it a few times when i first got it.

NICE GUY, not in my book that is an *** hole and yes I spelled it out. 10 G in a motor and some clown thinks he can romp on it what an ***.

It's got a 500+ HP stroked small block.

Yeah I know, he should ave never got on it. But it is partly my fault for letting him drive it. I think it's cool to let other people experience a nice hot rod but it won't happen again in my car. I think the guy thought it would react like a 5.0 mustang or something    when you nail the go pedal in my car you better be ready for a lot of things happening at once. Oh well, luckily nothing happened and I learned a good lesson. I'll use my feakin head next time.

I'm not sure he could handle your car as a passenger!

It's nice to know the third member held up this time but I'm sure you would have rather been the one testing.

You need to be a real selective on who you let drive a 10 second car. Your insurance agent probably would be scared to death if he read this (lol). Remember even for us we didn't jump right to the limits we have now. 4 speed hell runs can be an art and this guy didn't have a brush.

Nice to know you had the Cuda back out. I assume there was no pinging with the cooler weather?

Yeah it's still pinging, I need to get over to your place and get some of your gas to try. My tank is about empty so nows a good time.

If that don't work I'll take the advance curve way out and see what happens.

Shame on you Brett - Now let me drive it!!
Are you still going to Fred Gibbs show next weekend? See ya there
Mike

Yep I will be there. Helen Gibb would shoot me if I didn't come. She sends me all kinds of stuff and stops in to see me when she's in town. Plus I am one of the sponser's.

I'll be prepared to get my *** kicked in street machine but oh well, it's a chevy show

My car was on last years video, Helen is getting me a copy.

I don't think so but I might. I get off at 3 on friday and if I can get both cars ready for sat a head of time I will probably ride the goldwing over if I go. There's not enough time to get one of the cars dirty and then get it ready in the morning.

What were you thinkin, hell my car is nowhere near as fast as yours and I won't even let my wife drive mine. But then again she probably could not steer it anyways, a big block in a A body without power steering can be a tad difficult to turn sometimes. Fastback383.

Brett and Mike, are you guys coming to Monmouth the day before Gibbs show?

Marty, I will be there Friday nite, I will try to park in the same area that we parked last year.

Mike

Only one other guy ever driven my car, and that was James at the track. My wife won't even RIDE in it anymore. Too much for her.
