My son & I are taking the Dart to the drags tomorrow. I dunno if I'll run it down the strip or not (its a 2-1/2 hour drive from home) but we're going up to spend the day. Supposed to be perfect weather.
Anyone else going to be there?? I'll buy ya a soda.

Took the 5 yr old grandson to Beaver Springs Dragway Friday night for his first time. He caught on to the tree, he'd say yellow, yellow, go...after about a half hour or so he said to me, "OK Chappy, my turn I take that car and win", as he pointed to a red 64 GTO convertible parked in front of us. He got pretty upset when I told him he didn't get a turn, and that wasn't his car to use. He said "Let's go back to your house and get my racecar"..he's got a 2hp go kart, but he was ready to go racing.
 
BBLM23 I saw you there. My son and I stopped by your car in the pits. I guess you had just rolled it out of the trailer, and were working on something underneath. Anyway, I waited for a minute to say HI, but it looked like you were busy and I didn't want to bother you. Car looked real nice, and ran like crazy!

It was a hot one yesterday. We parked my Dart under the shade trees next to the staging lanes so we had a cool place to sit, and still see the cars.

I can't believe they got that track cleaned up from the flood as fast as they did. Good job to all who were involved in that.

I heard from the lady at the gate that there isn't going to be a Mopar only show/swap meet this year because the sponser moved the event to Englishtown. Anyone else hear that? I was really looking forward to that show.

I cracked a header tube Saturday. I took it home to weld and had to put it back in Sunday morning.
It was really hot and humid Sunday. I was soaking wet before I put the fire suit on...
Still a little dusty in the pits, but the track has been fine.

The 2nd Musclepalooza day got moved to Englishtown.
