360 street/strip cam choice

Is your bottom end stock? Its got the stock camshaft now?

If so, I'd go a step smaller than that. Something like this:

You're probably pretty compression handicapped, so you don't want that intake valve hanging open while the piston is moving back up the bore (aka dynamic compression losses). Additionally, that causes loss of low end torque, which is king on a street car.

Its very easy to overanalyze on cam choice, but the thing to remember is that any of them are going to be a massive improvement over stock, and that the difference between any of the reasonable choices on a given combination is going to be less than 5hp peak, but the torque differences and horsepower curve down low can be massive.

In a street/strip car you are way way way way way better off going conservative.
