What's with auto body people? . . . .

Just be careful and unload the suspension before you get in there and start cutting and grinding.

it's definitely unloaded. there's almost nothing left there. i can move the torsion bars with my hand with the car on the ground..

Hire a local welder. Many are mobile. I have a friend I bribe with $ & beer!

never thought about that

A 71 Scamp ain't worth that money or effort. And nothing personal, but I wouldn't let my daughter drive around in a car with that amount of cancer no matter how "fixed" you think it may have gotten. You could buy a real nice one for a fraction of fixing that one. Let it go.

all ready talked it over with her. we're gonna body and paint(my lil bro paints) mine since it's solid and already stripped. then move everything from the green hornet to it. then we'll see what's left of the hornet for later use.
had a guy who does his own resto-mods(drivers not trailer queens) look at it and he says mine is fine. subframe and body are solid just a few dents that need pulled and that he'd help me get started with that and the floors. he even said i can use his storage shop if i need as long as there's an open spot. bonus it's right next door to where i work. i didn't even know that's what was in that building 'til yesterday. found out bc i asked him about his 73 charger 440 6 pac. sublime with black interior. he's got a 7? challenger rt on a rotisserie in the shop. really nice guy and he was glad to see a teenage girl that wanted to do something for herself and with a classic to boot. he told her to "make it yours" and i believe she will.
she's ready to get to it and wants to try body work herself. she got out today and cleaned it out(used as a storage shed) and gathered up all the interior to redo it. she wants to do as much as possible herself. she's making the decisions on it. it will be hers after all. all painted surfaces on the inside satin black, green insets on black seats black carpet, black panels with green handles, black rallies($175 blasted and primed, from our new friend) and of course sassy grass green body. get it? she likes black and green.

get ready everyone, we'll be asking questions.......
