2 1/2 " TTI exhaust pipes

I've got a 69 340 engine in a 72 Swinger w/ 727 trans, 72 340 exhaust manifolds.I bought 2 1/2" exhaust pipes from TTI. The driver side pipe is a close fit between torsion bar and floor, so close I had to deform the pipe a little so it woud not rub on top and bottom. Anyone else had this problem? The motor is sitting exactly per specs .
