Help me build my 440

I would use the KB pistons as they are less weight, and use a cam in the 230-240@ .050 range hyd., or mech. your preference. As for the heads I would go with something like the 452s as they have hard seats in them from the factory, make sure that they aren't cracked and make sure that you have the right springs for the heads and cam used. Then I would gasket match them and bowl blend them and use stock size valves on the intake and 1.81 on the exhast, but if you do use the larger valves on the exhaust then the seats will have to have hard ones put back in as the cutter that will enlarge the seat will cut all the hardness away. Then I would go for a air gap or a rpm intake as this will give you more bottom end and more torque where you need it, or want it. This could be done for $800-1,000.00 total. Have fun.
