steering box replacement

From my great memory, that is like a steel trap. Rusted shut most of the time but none the less. There is a nut on top of the box that has a flat head slot inside of it. You loosen the jamnut just enough to turn in the center screw till it stops then just back it off a blonde hair. Work the wheel back and forth after setting the jamnut, to check for binding, or overtightening. There is no adjustment left on mine so I haven't been able to do mine in a while.
