Oil pans

Build dependent.........Yes.

The deeper pan moves the oil away from the crank so splash is a non-issue at all. If your drag racing in a modest manor, (Non-pro like) You could add a little depth to the pan. The baffles are great to have in a stock pan, hot rod engine or not.

Also, if your sucking up all the oil in a stock pan on launch or mid track, do not add a quart of oil.
If you add a quart to the stock pan, it'll take time for the oil to get sucked up and clear the spining crank. So don't add a quart to the stock pan, switch to a deep pan.

Should you ever have the pan down again, notice how deep the crank runs into the pan vs 4 quarts in the pan. This should help give you an idea of how deep you need to modify the pan if you do it on your own or in the purchase of another pan.
Careful on ground clearance.
