Anyone run 215/70/14 on 14 x 5.5 rims

No rubbing at all on my Valiant.

Years ago, when I was young and Real strong,
I worked at a local Auto Center, mostly on the tire line.
Having owned Mopars, I was familar with the left hand threads on older vehicles.

I had a customer come over and yell at me for using an impact to tighten
his lug nuts.I tried to explain that, on purpose we used wimpy impact guns,
that had a limit of max 90lbs. He said "I don't care, I want them tightened with a 4 way wrench", which he had in the trunk of his car.

I said OK,:angry7:
how tight you want me to make them, with the 4 way,
he was being a jackass, and said "as tight as you can get them Sonny.....

Wrong thing to say to a strong 22 year old man.

I snapped off 3 of the right rear studs in about 4 seconds,
and then handed them to him.
Here ya go mister, I just broke off 3 of your studs, you want me to keep going?
{wish I was still that strong. :(}

:naka:

Settled on 205/70/14 to be safe...I don't the look of a huge sidewall and the 215/70/14 look a little too big ...IMO.
Order BFG Radial T/A's from TireRack on 9/16 and they arrived today 9/18.
Damn, are they quick shippers! Anyway, price $303.00 inc S&H and a mechanic up the road is charging 65.00 for all 4 to install. Not bad $368.00 compared to the $450.00 prices I was getting and 1-2 week special order times I got from a couple of places. Besides, you can't trust these young kids to install properly. I explained in detail to the last 'smart ***' that the driver side wheels were reverse thread meaning to loosen the lugs you turn clockwise and vice versa. Well, he proceeds to break the stud off the first lug he loosened on the driver side by going counterclockwise. Then has the never to tell me thier on too tight. The service manager just looked at him and wanted to pop his head off like a 'big zit'.
