Spool good for lower ET?

Wondering if going to a spool would lower my ets,Have done a search and have read all the pros and cons,no mention of quicker times.Car does 13.009 1/4 and 8.16 in the 1/8th.Really want to be in the 12s and sevens,8 3/4 with 4.56 sure grip now.I know there is a weight saveings but other than that do they really help at the strip.I only have 197 rear wheel hp so any gain is alot,60 ft is 1.69 something.Guzzi Mark
