Build me a 550hp 440!
Id go like this. Stock forged crank, 440Source 6.76 rods, Diamond flat top pistons, .990 pin, Speed Pro file-to-fit rings, main studs, stock oiling system. Square deck for zero deck, align bore/hone, bore and tq plate hone, deburr, competitioin balance. Heads and top end, Edelbrock RPM 84 cc, gasket match, bowl clean up/valve job fix, replace springs to match cam, MP M1 single plane intake port matched and "tweaked". Can would be a Comp solid, around a XS282S, but use 1.6 rockers. Ignition of your choice, A Holley 4150 HP 950 cfm or similar. It will exceed that 550 number.
