Will 273 V8 adjustable rockers fit 360 heads?
The 273 rockers should fit the 360 head, as long as it isn't a Magnum head. (I'm pretty sure Magnum stuff is different.) You'll need special pushrods to use an adjustable valvetrain with the factory hydraulic lifters, but they are readily available from most performance outlets. The advantage is that you can get a finer adjustment of your valvetrain as compared to using non-adjustable rockers. You can adjust each one individually, & don't have to worry about a stack up of factory tolerances, combined with machine work, etc. causing adjustment problems. Theoretically, with the valves properly adjusted you should be able to get a higher rpm from your engine without having the lifters pump up.
Of course, all this is what I remember from over 25 year ago when I used to do this stuff all of the time, but I think It's still correct!
