But seriously, you're right about that pic of the lineup between #1 on the cap and #1 on the block. I doubt it would even run retarded that far. Best thing is to just look in the Chilton's manual or some such reference. Never heard that #1 points to #1 and turning the gear stuff before. Could be some truth to it if it's running, and I'm certainly no Chevy guy by any stretch. But I DO have a Chilton's manual which agrees with what you said.
