Ps pressure line

I went to my local parts store today to pick up a ps line that i had ordered for my cuda. When i got to the store i inspected the item, and notied the line had one male and one female end. This does not match up with the way my ps is, on the pump the hose/line should be male, and on the steering it should be male to. the orginal line that was on there was wrong, plus it was hitting the exhaust manifold so it was burning the hose :silent: how will i be able to tell what line i need, the shop said i could have one custom made...all i though was lots of $$$$$$$$$$, should i just go back and look at every different design of line(the parts book has pics) and try and pick one that looks like it should work

Jack,
You could cut corners by getting a 1.5 " double threaded male coupling for the pump. Take your old hose with you to the shop, and get the new hose. Ensure the male end of your old hose is the same size as the new male and female end. The female end of the new hose MUST turn independently of the hose itself. Put the new threaded coupling in your pump, then the male end of your new hose on the steering, next just put together the female end on the coupling you just added to the pump. OR..try a different parts shop.
