For the heavy truck you are correct but you could get a motorhome in the late 60s and early 70s with a 413 that had the same topend as the regular RB.
I had a 1971 D700 that had a 361 that had the weird topend on it. It had heads that looked like LA heads as far as the exhaust and spark plugs was concerned. I also think it had the SAE round type bellhousing pattern cast in the block.
