These things were made in numerous different combos over the years, so comparing apples to oranges doesn't solve the problem, as 66 Dart so painfully experienced. If he had the AC compressor in place all the puleys would line up for a double pulley across the A/C, Alt and crank. Also, that is the reason his alt mounts behind the top bracket. Sorry for confusing the issue.

Ace, Nobody is knocking you and I don't think he's "not" listening to you. Pics help people out. He does have different options to go with. As you should know as well, when things are changed under a hood sometimes there's no longer a right way. Your opinion is just as good us anyone's is. Let face it....it's up to the owner! we just give different idea's. It "will" work correctly and line up, he just "may" have to get a few parts OR play around some more with it. And yes, if not aligned correclty there no doubt that the belt will slip, snap, ware out or even screw up the ALT. "Your not confusing me" . Perhaps you should send him a PM. :notworth:
